Living like a tourist in Singapore for one day!

Started my day at a NTUC can't help but take a snap of this cute little boy posing for me :)

Future Superstar posing! Hi 5!

Anyway i went to a shop in Haji Lane to try on some Oakley before making any decision on purchase. I couldn't decide on Oakley M-Frame, Oakley Radar or Oakley Jawbone.

Check out this Website which was recommended by my fellow runner bro Jackie from MF running club. I went to try on and made up my decision. Only Radar :) Best fit for me. I'm going to buy directly from Oakley website and try get my friend to bring it back to Singapore.

After that, i went and walk around haji lane since i was free so i stop by this shop...

The Ice Cream Man!

About this shop, doesn't have much variety but quality counts :)

Tried a couple of flavours and decided on...

Baileys Kit-Kat :) Pretty good! Not very heavy, with good crunch of kit-kat a lovely combination. Although i can't feel the alcohol at all hahaha... Children friendly liquor ice cream hahaha....

Continue walk about in Haji Lane, found some interesting concept shop hidden everywhere!

Something my Pastry friends would love :) I've got no idea what is it called but supposedly use for high tea to put cakes and pastry :)

Still feeling pretty hungry, i went to nearby Golden mile food center "army market". First stall on my mind is always...

Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee (Hainanese Style)

This uncle has been frying for so many years but its not consistant. Its only getting better :) In the past it taste great but a little wet.

This time it was just enough moist with nice "wok hei". I saw the uncle fry for quite some time before adding stock a little at time like cooking risotto. Then finish off by adding in the precooked ingredients. The magic lies in the awesome flavoured stock! Too bad the uncle only sell the standard $3 price per plate... so small portion, just enough for my appetizer... :(

Just beside the prawn noodle stall, there is this chicken rice stall. Well, Hainanese hokkien mee with Hainanese chicken nothing wrong right? Hehehe...

Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice

Whohooo! Nice and juicy :) Fat and tender chicken thigh meat, love it especially with the skin on!

After finishing my 2 appetizers in beach road market, i went to look for my friend to la kopi since i have nth much to do.

After chatting for some time, feeling a little hungry liao, time for early dinner :)

Authentic Hock Lam Street Popular Beef Kway Teow

Spicy Braise Beef with Tofu.

Didn't have the kwey teow because the boss highly recommend me to try this new dish which is only second day on the menu. It was a good recommendation. Although priced at $9.80 which i consider a little expensive for its portion, but flavour wise its pretty value for its price. Wouldn't mind trying the dish once in awhile for a change. Spicy but not numbing, beef is really fork tender. However it would be better if there is some side vegetable to go along as the gravy is pretty oily.

After dinner, we made an impromptu decision to go drink. I let my friend to decide location. And in the end, we reach Geylang! Ha!

But first to fill up ourself with something before drinking.

We had frog porridge which is pretty good so i decided to come back another day to a full review.

Then we proceed to some where along lor 11 for a night which is nothing like the singapore i used to know...

Firstly, a cocktail of beer, with so much different promoter, a never ending bucket of beer...

Somehow the bucket is always full...

Free music hahaha... Like getai we see in 7th lunar month, Funny!

Checkout this Video!

Funny like hell but interesting place to drink.

After that we made our way to have supper.

How bout it? Abalone Ba Chor Mee! HA!
