It has been really long time since I took bus to malaysia. Christmas eve is really crowded. Queue for the bus is damn damn long.
Reach malaysia and took a bus to jusco and have nandos for "appetizer" then james's cousin come and pick us and bring us for a delicious dinner.
Refreshing Drink!
A Dead looking salad...
Solid Cafeteria
祖传粿条仔
The dinner is the Malaysia version of kwey chup but 10 times better then the usual singapore kwey chup. The innards are very well braised, very flavourful sauce, duck was tender and sweet naturally, the soup for the kwey teow was full body with strong hint of herbs and spices but not overpowering.
Only those who know how to appreciate the hardwork that goes into preparing thses food will understand how these people love their food. Simple item, good flavour and everlasting impression.

Supper was really delicious. My fav would be the stir fry pork ovaries with dried shrimps. Yummy :) the roast pork fried noodles really reminds me of the unofficial staff meal we have in jade kitchen hahaha...

There are a couple of Kuey Chap stalls that you may want to try if you have not been there earlier.
ReplyDelete1. Tung Lok Kway Chap at Eng Lock Koo Coffee Shop, 114 Pasir Panjang Road, corner with Pepys Road
2. Kuey Chap stall #01-35 Toa Payoh Blk 93 Lor 4.
They may not have the herbal taste but still considered good enough for me and a few friends that we can have this in Singapore.
Seriously before i tried the JB one i know of some good stalls in singapore too. But... This one in JB is really worth the travel :) Try it for yourself! DIE DIE MUST TRY!
