The Triathlon Chef: Trip Day 2: Klang/KL Food Hunt!

Morning woke up afresh ready to have brunch. Hahaha.. Slept at 5am woke up at 11am.

Drove to this bah kut teh place and was pleasantly surprise that there was dry bah kut teh.

With hot water from here. :) nice and retro, NEVER will it pass safety regulations in Singapore! hahahaha...

It's just stir fry pork belly with dried chili, spring onion, dried cuttlefish fish and most importantly dark soya sauce. This is really like one of the staff meal my ex colleague "Ah Gin" like to cook at night after service. It is called bah kut teh because they serve u a bowl of that bah kut teh soup. Slight peppery with a little hint of herbs. Soup was pretty thick which could be due to high collagen (Good for complexion) content cooking the soup with pork skin.

Side dish were simple, stir fry ice berg lettuce with oyster sauce and enoki mushroom in bah kut teh soup which makes the soup taste slightly different.

Very nice and unique bah kut teh for lunch only in Malaysia!

After lunch we went to the next place to crash in which is James another cousin's place where we place all our barang there then went to sunway pyramid to walk about.

Had gui lin gao then went about walking more.

"Sweet" Gui Lin Gao which i refuse to add sugar syrup to control my calories intake and to take in the full health benefits of the gui lin gao.

The hot chrysanthemum tea was pretty delicious! Strong flora note of the chrysanthemum with just a light touch of sweetness. Good Drink!

Stop by an archery place, we decided to go try for fun.

The last time I tried archery was in a night market in Taiwan. It was pretty fun but tiring if not used to it. James is a pretty good archer and we joked about hunting wild boar next time if we are hungry hahaha...

After the "intense" archery exercise, we went for a Japanese dinner.

Very nice looking shop front with a morden electronic sliding door.

The ambience and decor is very good. Sashimi is very fresh and the price is the same as Singapore but in different currency hahaha. Cheap!

I had a Chirashi Don Set. Very fresh and sweet fish, a decent chawamushi, miso soup, fruits and pickles, at RM35 per set it is really a steal!

Straight after dinner its 10pm so... Supper time :) muhahaha.

Ramly burger at the road side was excellent! 4 thin juicy patty with light pepper sauce and 2 sunny side up, gone in 60 seconds!

Something so messy to eat...

But oh gosh! It was so DELICIOUS! I would rate it on par with the burgers i had at Relish which is easily 6x the price of this ramly burger double cheese special.

Walk down a few mins and we reached this cool taiwan ice dessert shop.

I ordered a japan set. It's a soya shave ice with nice chewy macha dumplings and boil red bean. Simple yet delicious! I think theres some milk in the soya ice cause it taste pretty good not like just regular soya milk.
